COMMUNITIES

Life, especially life with God, is meant to be practiced and lived with other people.

From the beginning, God said it is not good for man to be alone. Life, especially life with God, is meant to be practiced and lived with other people. With this in mind, at Mercy Road Church Northwest we scatter during the week outside of Worship Gatherings in what we call Communities. Communities are location, time, or demographic based groups of 10-15 people that meet together in homes during the week every week or every other week to live the way of Jesus together.

Eat together, pray together, play together, learn together, practice together, do life together, because it is not good to be alone.

INTERESTED IN STARTING YOUR OWN COMMUNITY?

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE TO LEAD OR HOST A COMMUNITY?

We are looking for committed followers of Jesus to open up their homes and serve as guides and partners to others in discipleship to Jesus!

What leading a community IS NOT:

  • responsibility for another’s faith

  • an expectation to be perfect and know everything

  • a forever binding burden on life

What leading a community IS:

  • hospitality toward others

  • humility in your discipleship journey, serving as a guide and partner to others on the same journey

  • a delight in fellowship with others that is meant to add value to, not take away from, life’s responsibilities

And you will not be alone!

Our Teaching and Discipleship Pastor, Nick, will come alongside you every step of the way as you lead.
